Open Position: Data Scientist


Counterfeiting constitutes a market exceeding trillion-dollar annually, with profits accruing to criminals’ networks rather than legitimate brand owners. In addition to its economic impact, counterfeit pharmaceuticals are responsible for over one million deaths each year. When accounting for broader societal consequences, the total financial losses are estimated to reach hundreds of billions of dollars.

TrueMed is the first counterfeit detection system that does not require any modification to the product itself. The solution is designed for both professionals and consumers, and it operates on a standard smartphone without the need for additional hardware.

TrueMed offers an AI-based platform for brand protection, enabling legitimate brand owners to safeguard their products through advanced, next-generation technology.

We are looking for a Data Scientist (Customer-Facing) to help save lives and fight against this global problem.

Job brief

We are seeking a Data Scientist who thrives on working directly with customers, including the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies, to analyze incoming data through TrueMed platform and transform it into actionable insights that support learning and evidence generation. In this role, you will combine technical expertise, problem solving capabilities with strong communication skills to help clients interpret their data, identify opportunities, and further implement TrueMed’s AI-driven solutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Work closely with customers to understand their challenges, opportunities, business needs and how incoming data can be turned to a valuable asset
  • Customer problem solving. Analyze customer cases to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights
  • Translate complex findings into actionable, concise insightsDrive the development and deployment of AI/ML solutions tailored to client needs
  • Present insights, reports, and dashboards to stakeholders
  • Build trusted relationships with customers by engaging deeply with their data and operational context
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of developers to improve TrueMed products and TrueMed operations to drive the customer’s voice
  • Stay informed on the latest AI trends within the industry and among leading customers.
  • Collaborate with the team to incorporate the customer perspective into the product roadmap and further development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, AI, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with clients and understand their needs.
  • Ability to translate technical findings into clear, business-relevant insights.
  • Experience presenting insights and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Capability to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities from data.
  • Proactive in suggesting solutions and improvements based on client requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
  • Ability to translate data analysis into clear presentations using Microsoft Office tools (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Experience applying machine learning and AI models on real-life data
  • Familiarity with Python data science stack (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) and image/computer vision data
  • Comfortable working in Git-based workflows and Agile environments (Jira or similar)
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly without compromising analytical depth
  • Methodical approach to tracking client needs and project progress
  • You must be able to work at least partially from Finland

Nice to Have

  • Experience in customer-facing roles (consulting, client success, or similar)
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS)
  • Experience building algorithms with PyTorch
  • Experience developing and deploying production-ready software
  • Fluent German language is seen as a plus
